The opinion you'll find here is that you should get all the "boring" stuff done first. Make sure your maintenance is up to date, get the car running perfect. And I agree, a perfect running Z is a thing to behold. Personally, I replace or repair everything on my car with OEM or better equipment. I'm not rich by any means, I just care about my car enough to put the extra effort in. genic is spot on with his suspension recommendations. May I also suggest a 300 Degree Camber kit, to properly realign your car after lowering it. A set of Stillen Sway bars and Greg Dupree subframe spacers, and you'd have one amazing handling Z.
